Good shave with the Moarteen. My fine motor skills were slightly lacking and I got a small reminder that all blades are sharp.

This is my 27th straight razor shave. The edge had a little bit of resistance to it, but nowhere near being tuggy. I’ve mentioned before that this type of feel gives me great shaves with a little bit of work, and today backed up that theory.

I do plan on participating in the Lather Games, but I’m not sure if I’ll meet 50% participation. May was the busiest month I’ve had in recent memory, and I have no clue what June has in store for me.

Since I started tracking my shaves with the Shaving Data System I’ve used straight razors 54% of the time, DE’s 30%, and cartridges 16%. I started tracking right around the same time I started using straight razors, so all of my straight razors shaves are accounted for in those stats.

Speak for yourself!

I’ve only ever tried one other Rive Gauche dupe and loved it.

Is it an A220 by any chance? I was on a smelly one yesterday. The APU was broken so sometimes it can be caused by the external cart they use to start the engines.

This blade is just great. Very close and comfy. Hardly any aftershave feedback, and Clubman aftershaves have a hefty dose of alcohol in my experience.

For all of the Shaving Data System users, a recent Baserow update changed the way some things work behind the scenes so I had to change some stuff around. At some point today I’ll update everyone’s templates (free of charge!) because this new version (1.0.9) is the minimum required at this point.

Some cool new features are possible now, though. For example, I typed these paragraphs in and the output will spit out new paragraphs (but you have to manually type <p> at the end of each paragraph. <p> is html speak for “new paragraph”. A bit of a limitation, but maybe some users will enjoy it! I know @[email protected] was looking for something like this.

This Gold Dollar is visibly not straight – I might start calling it a Curved Razor instead of Straight Razor. Nevertheless, it shaves!
